Three Montpelier residents were seriously injured Friday, in a two-vehicle car accident on Ind. 18.

Authorities say, Chance E. McCormick was driving his Dodge Caravan eastbound on the highway at 3:30pm when he lost control of the van in the snow that had blow on to the roadway.

McCormick's vehicle slid counter-clockwise into a westbound lane, according to Blackford County police Lt. Jeff Sones, and crashed with a Dodge Neon that was driven by Kathleen Valentine.

Valentine's husband, Luther, passenger in his wife's car was taken from the scene and flown by air ambulance to Parkview Hospital.

Kathleen Valentine and McCormick were transported by ambulance to Blackford Community Hospital, although, Valentine was then later transferred to Lakeview.
