A former Vermont National Guardsman, who recently served in Iraq, was killed in a car accident.

The 29-year-old died on Wednesday in a head-on collision that involved another vehicle. The accident occurred when the driver of the other vehicle hit a guardrail, which sent him across the road and into his car.
